Rhino Contracting is currently seeking a Takeoff Technician / Junior Estimator to join their estimating team. Rhino Contracting is a civil construction company located in Mesa, AZ that specializes in Demolition, Grading, Paving, Concrete, Wet / Dry Utilities, and Masonry. The Takeoff Technician will be responsible for performing quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift for all civil scopes, as well as requesting quotes from subcontractors and suppliers. Additionally, this person will aid the Estimating team with various duties. The ideal candidate should be able to read and understand civil plans for all civil scopes, though previous experience with PlanSwift is not required, any experience in an On-screen takeoff program is a plus. Field experience is a plus but is not required.
Duties
• Performs quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift for Demolition, Grading, Concrete, Wet & Dry Utilities, Concrete & Masonry.
• Review bid packages.
• Request quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assist the Estimating team with a variety of duties.
Requirements
• Must be able to read civil plans.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs; Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Experience using PlanSwift is a plus.
• Experience using Agtek software is a plus.
• Knowledge of civil construction is a plus.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.
