Part 2 of our bathtub leak repair and tile renovation is now underway!
After completing demolition and plumbing corrections, our team moved into surface prep, tile installation, and fixture replacement to restore this bathroom beautifully and prevent future leaks.

Here’s what we completed in this phase:

🔹 Tub faucet to be installed — new fixture on site and ready
🔹 Removed deteriorated backsplash tile and exposed moisture-damaged substrate
🔹 Removed window sill tiles and prepped area for new waterproof installation

Our team at Cajun Home Services started another repair project in Destrehan after the homeowner noticed water damage near the master tub. Once demolition began, we discovered multiple plumbing issues hidden behind the tile surround—and this is exactly why professional inspection matters.

Here’s what we accomplished in Part 1:

🔹 Began demolition to expose the water leak source
🔹 Opened access to plumbing and framing for full inspection
🔹 Removed the full front panel to expose pump, drain lines, and connections
🔹 Identified damaged copper and PEX connections needing replacement
🔹 Installed brand-new water supply lines with updated fittings
🔹Installed mold-resistant cement board around tub walls to replace damaged substrates.
🔹Installed new lining and fittings for the tub faucet, prepping for final reconnection and testing.
