Back down the bayou to Des Allemands, Louisiana, where our crew is working seven days a week to expedite field exploration services for our client. We are drilling 5-in. borings to the 220-ft depths and CPTs to the 200-ft depths over water. As shown in the site photos, Eustis Engineering has extensive experience in marsh and marine services.

Spring events start coming and they don’t stop coming! Eustis Engineering has been busy both out in the industry and with our team. We had teams and tents at the Tri-Society and ACI Golf Tournaments; participated in the 12th Annual One Man Shoot Fundraiser; hosted our employee crawfish boil; attended the ASCE LA Section Spring Conference and Association of Levee Boards Workshop; and finished it off with a company blood drive. We are proud to stay connected, give back, and support the organizations and events that make our industry and community stronger.

Boots on the ground in Connecticut! Eustis Engineering is supporting the Town of Suffield’s six bridge replacement program with professional geotechnical engineering services. Our experience in soft soil conditions, refined through 80 years of experience along the Gulf Coast, positions our team well to address the soft and compressible Connecticut Valley clays and varved deposits we are encountering at the project sites. The Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) has awarded a construction contract for a coastal restoration project in the Delacroix area.

Eustis Engineering supported the East Delacroix Marsh Creation and Terracing project through geotechnical explorations and the development of design recommendations. Congratulations to Coastal Dredging Company, Inc., and all project partners on this important effort to strengthen and sustain Louisiana’s coastal communities.

CPRA has awarded a contract for a coastal restoration project in St. Bernard Parish that will create marsh, reduce wave energy, and enhance long-term stability in the Delacroix area.🌱

The East Delacroix Marsh Creation and Terracing project, a Phase 2 effort under the Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act (CWPPRA), has been awarded to Coastal Dredging Company, Inc., of Hammond.

“This project not only protects Louisiana’s coast, it also supports a local business and helps our state’s economy,” said Gordon “Gordy” Dove, chairman of CPRA. “Investing in restoration strengthens our wetlands, protects our communities, and supports good-paying jobs across Louisiana.”

The project will create and nourish nearly 400 acres of marsh and construct 19,360 linear feet of terraces, covering approximately 18 acres. These terraces are designed to reduce wave energy and protect newly created and existing marsh from erosion.

We are pleased to announce Jonathan Sherwood, P.E., as Eustis Engineering’s newest Project Manager! He brings a great blend of leadership and engineering experience to the team.

This is actually a welcome back, since Jonathan previously interned with us back in 2017. It is exciting to have him return to the Eustis Engineering family.
