✈️ Complacency is how “routine” becomes life-changing.

A drone show crash in Orlando in 2024 reportedly resulted in a 7-year-old needing open heart surgery. That’s the reminder nobody wants, but every event team needs: drones are aircraft, and aircraft over people require real safety systems.
If you’re hiring a drone show vendor, don’t stop at “Are you insured?”

Ask:
✓ What are your hard stop triggers (wind, GPS issues, battery thresholds)?✓ Who has ABORT authority, and how fast can they call it?✓ What’s the crowd buffer and how is it enforced on-site?✓ What’s the emergency response plan if something falls into the audience?✓ What’s your post-show incident reporting process?

If the answers are vague, the risk is real.

Will Drone Delivery Impact Your Event?

People are focused on: the noise or getting a package dropped in their pool.

What I’m watching for: Do delivery routes create flight restrictions near the event? Can we work with the delivery company to shape our event skies?

Event takeaway: If your venue is bringing in drones, helicopters, or you’re near low-altitude corridors, you need airspace governance early, not during event week.

Behind the scenes planning for FIFA’s first Club World Cup (2025): Commercial filming coordination.

This is what operational precision looks like. Every camera angle, every flight path, every crew position is choreographed around airspace rules, safety protocols, and live broadcast timing.

No room for improvisation. No second takes. Just tactical planning and flawless ex*****on.

This is what separates event planners who "hope it works out" from teams that know exactly what they're doing.

Want help coordinating complex aerial operations at your event? Let's talk about drones and helicopters at your upcoming event.

I took World Cup lessons and turned them into an executable checklist you can actually use.

This video is a quick recap: a full room, an article printed minutes after my presentation, and the feedback that came in once teams started using the checklist.

Here’s the key point: even if you are not using drones, you still need an airspace security plan. Unauthorized drones and low-altitude traffic do not care what your production plan says.

If you want the checklist, go download it and run it with your ops + public safety partners before event week.
👉🏾 Comment “CHECKLIST” and I’ll send you the link, or DM me for it.

That Ole Miss vs LSU video of the helicopter and the ESPN drone nearly colliding is a gut check.

This could have been tragic. Not just for the crews, but for the spectators underneath. When you mix drones, helicopters, and a live crowd, the consequences of a coordination gap are immediate.

This is why AuxAero focuses on airspace governance for events. It’s not “more rules.” It’s the basics that prevent disaster:
✓ one approved aerial footprint (boundaries + altitudes)✓ one comms plan with escalation triggers✓ clear decision rights when conditions change✓ whitelist/deny list and a plan for unauthorized drones

If your event includes drones or helicopters, don’t wait until event week to sort this out.

I’ve operated in the highest stakes live environments possible.

The same discipline that keeps crews safe in the air is what keeps spectators safe on the ground: coordination, clear comms, and someone owning the air picture.

If your event includes drones or helicopters, I’m ready to help you build the plan before event week.

People see drones and helicopters at events and think it’s just a cool shot.
What they don’t see is the command presence and coordination it takes to run airspace safely.

This video is a quick snapshot of my path: my first drone, my Apache helicopter background, time in the cockpit, long days in the desert, and the best part, mentoring the next generation.

That experience is why I’m calm when timelines compress, stakeholders disagree, and conditions change. It’s also why I build clear plans that public safety, vendors, and production can actually execute.

If your next event includes drones, helicopters, or flyovers, you need someone who can own the air picture.

Atlanta is a case study in what happens when a global event hits a real city.

This video walks through the arrests that occurred during the World Cup, and it’s worth paying attention to for one reason: public safety agencies absorb the consequences of planning gaps, unclear rules, and late coordination.

With LA28, F1, and major festivals on the horizon (including Four Chord), event teams need to get serious about the basics: • know the rules that apply to your venue and footprint• align commercial planners, first responders, and federal partners early• define decision rights and escalation triggers before event week

That’s where my team is getting involved, now, so the plan is built before the pressure hits.

Your event just wrapped. Now comes the part most teams skip—and it's where the real gold is.

Post-event reviews aren't just about checking boxes. They're about capturing what worked, what didn't, and what your team needs to do differently next time.

We just published a full breakdown of how to run a post-event debrief that actually sticks:

✓ The after-action review framework that turns chaos into clarity
✓ A practical cheat sheet (Capture • Share • Improve) to guide your team
✓ How to turn lessons learned into real, actionable objectives
✓ Why the first 48 hours after an event are critical

The difference between a one-time success and a repeatable operation? It's what you do with what you learned.
