A bold new perspective on Coconut Grove living. Initial concept design for one of our elevated homes in this area.

Driven by a distinctive part triangular lot, this three-story home maximizes the use of the site and pairs crisp angular geometry with extreme horizontal elements and warm materials.

The main living floor and pool is elevated over parking and covered understory terraces, to create more usable area with extensive parking and additional terraces. Improving the views to surrounding tree canopy. This podium level is topped by a contrasting visually light upper level with thin roof profile.

Relaxed, refined, a new vision for luxury in the Grove.

Construction is beginning on this new Miami Beach residence, conceived as the anti-white box, a contemporary response to tropical living composed with planes and concrete screens.
Deep overhangs, layered screens, shaded terraces, and carefully framed openings give the house depth while filtering the intense South Florida sun. The architecture is organized as a composition of planes rather than a single enclosed volume, allowing light, landscape, and outdoor space to become part of the experience of the house.
Looking forward to seeing construction starts, and the project moving from abstraction into material, structure, shadow, and detail. Our 5th Miami Beach Venetian islands waterfront project, 7th Including the Miami Venetian islands.

One of my favorite moments in this house is the arrival. Instead of walking directly to the front door, the entry sequence takes you through a courtyard where the landscape becomes the first room of the house. It slows you down, filters the views, and makes the transition from outside to inside feel much more intentional.
This is something we often explore in our tropical modern homes. The climate allows architecture to extend beyond the walls, using gardens, shade, and filtered light as part of the experience. In Coconut Grove especially, it just feels right—the house doesn’t sit on the landscape, it lives within it..

Every project begins with a constraint. The best ones turn into opportunities.

For this residence, the challenge was unusual: the client needed complete privacy, which meant rethinking the conventional layout. Instead of placing the pool and garden at the rear, we brought them forward—transforming the front of the house into a protected, inward-facing oasis.

The result is a home that reveals itself gradually. From the street, it remains composed and discreet. Step inside, and the architecture opens—light, water, and landscape unfolding in layers. The front yard becomes not a boundary, but the heart of the experience
By converting expectations, the design create a sense of calm and control , privacy is quietly embedded into the special sequence.
