Last week, I attended the Miami International Airport (MIA) Monthly Community Outreach – Prime + Sub Networking Exchange hosted by the Miami-Dade Aviation Department.

It was a great opportunity to learn about upcoming aviation projects, connect with prime contractors, and explore potential teaming opportunities. Thank you to the MIA team for creating a forum that brings together businesses committed to supporting the growth of our region's aviation infrastructure.

This past weekend, I had the privilege of attending the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce Business Council's Little Black Dress & Pearls Luncheon at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel.

The theme, "Let's Talk About Wisdom and Wealth," was a powerful reminder that true wealth extends far beyond financial success. It includes the wisdom we gain through experience, the relationships we build, and the legacy we leave by helping others succeed.

I especially enjoyed hearing the inspiring conversations from the guest speakers and reconnecting with many accomplished leaders, entrepreneurs, and community advocates who continue to make a difference throughout South Florida.

Thank you to the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce for hosting another outstanding event that celebrated leadership, collaboration, and the power of connection.

Last week, the MCO Construction & Services team had the opportunity to attend the Port Everglades Association (PEA) July Membership Meeting, featuring the timely discussion, "Prepare, Respond, Recover."

The program brought together public and private sector leaders to discuss emergency preparedness, resilience, and coordinated response strategies that help keep our ports, transportation systems, and communities operating during and after major events.

We appreciate hearing insights from industry leaders and connecting with professionals who are committed to strengthening South Florida's infrastructure. Events like these reinforce the importance of collaboration, planning, and building strong partnerships before they are needed.

At MCO Construction & Services, we believe that staying engaged with organizations like the Port Everglades Association helps us better serve our clients through staff augmentation, construction management support, owner's representative services, and program management.

Stepping inside history while looking toward the future. We had the opportunity to tour the Historic Miami-Dade County Courthouse and attend the Industry Day for its upcoming sale. It was an inspiring reminder that every building has a story—and every opportunity begins with a conversation.

The event provided valuable insight into the historic courthouse, its architectural significance, and the process for participating in the sale. It was also an excellent opportunity to connect with professionals from the public and private sectors who share an interest in redevelopment, preservation, and future economic opportunities.

Last week, We had the opportunity to attend the Miami-Dade Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) Safe Streets Cinema event at the James L. Knight Center.

The program brought together transportation leaders, elected officials, planners, engineers, and international representatives to discuss innovative strategies for creating safer, more connected communities. From thought-provoking panel discussions to interactive demonstrations, the event reinforced the importance of collaboration in advancing transportation safety and mobility throughout our region.

It was also a pleasure connecting with so many professionals who are passionate about improving our transportation infrastructure. These conversations continue to remind me that the best solutions are developed when the public and private sectors work together.
