A new chapter for Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class has officially begun.

Royal Caribbean has announced the start of physical construction of its fifth Icon Class ship at Meyer Turku shipyard in Turku, Finland. Scheduled to debut in 2028, the new vessel represents another significant milestone in the continued evolution of cruise ship design, technology and guest experiences.

At Control AV, we’re proud to be part of this journey and look forward to contributing to the technology and AV experiences that help bring these next-generation ships to life.

As construction progresses, we’ll be keeping a close eye on this exciting project and sharing updates from the maritime and cruise industry.
