Here is the sewage pump we're installing. We backfilled the sand, tampered it down, and now we are getting ready for masonry work. We tamper the sand so when you pour your concrete it doesn't sink and crack later down the line when the concrete settles. You'll also see we added a plumbing piece called a "union". What this is for is God forbid anything got clogged in the pipe, or work needed to be done on the plumbing this separates the pipes so you don't have to do any cutting of any pipes. This is a very useful piece of material. Then we vent the sewage pipe to the exterior of the home. We do it all here at Purofirst of Long Island. Here's a water damage job that Purofirst of Long Island recently did. The home owner has a ceramic tile floor with a mud floor underneath. Right here we have containment set-up to isolate the area we are trying to dry with air movers and dehumidifiers pointed upward directly at what is needed to be dried.
