Happy Friday!

It’s the start of Labor Day Weekend, and what better way to celebrate than preparing for some LABOR after Labor Day! 😂

We’re excited to share that our very first & project for Pinellas County’s Pinellas Recovers Program will officially be underway this coming Tuesday.

This is so exciting for our team at Assist2Build Construction, and we couldn’t ask for a better project to kick things off. Most importantly, we have the opportunity to serve an amazing and truly deserving homeowner as we begin the process of replacing their existing home and helping them move one step closer to recovery. 🏠

These are the moments that remind us why we do what we do 🫶.

We’re extremely happy to get this project underway and look forward to sharing the progress along the way 👀.

1,459 Section 3 Hours Reported in August 2026.

We’re proud to share that Assist2Build successfully provided and reported 1,459 Section 3 labor hours during August for eligible Section 3 workers in Southwest Florida.

For those who may not work directly in HUD-funded programs, Section 3 is a federal requirement designed to ensure that employment, training, and contracting opportunities created through certain HUD-funded projects are directed, to the greatest extent feasible, toward low- and very low-income individuals and the businesses that employ them.

But Section 3 is about more than meeting a reporting requirement.

It is about making sure that federal recovery and housing investments create an impact beyond the homes and infrastructure being repaired or rebuilt.

When disaster recovery funding comes into a community, there is an opportunity to create jobs, develop skills, support local workers, strengthen businesses, and keep more of that investment within the communities the funding is intended to serve.

For us, those 1,459 hours represent real people working, earning, gaining experience, and participating directly in the recovery of their own communities.

That is an important part of what responsible disaster recovery should look like: not simply rebuilding structures, but creating economic opportunity along the way.

We are proud of our team and our workforce partners for continuing to make Section 3 participation a meaningful part of the work we perform throughout Southwest Florida.

Today was a milestone worth celebrating.

We officially passed our final program inspection on this home, which means the construction phase is complete and now comes the most rewarding part of the entire process.

We get to make the call.

We get to contact the homeowner, schedule their key release, and welcome them back home to a brand-new 3-bedroom, 2-bath manufactured home, complete with a new septic system, new driveway, and new sod.

In disaster recovery, there are countless inspections, schedules, permits, revisions, and challenges behind every completed home. But the moment a family receives their keys is what makes all of that work matter.

This is more than the completion of a construction project. It is the restoration of stability, security, and a place to call home again.

We are proud to have played a role in getting this homeowner across the finish line, and we are looking forward to handing over those keys.

MHU installation currently in progress.

It’s always good to see a project move from planning into the field. This home is now onsite, with the remaining installation work, site items, utilities, inspections, and final finishes still ahead.

There are a lot of moving parts in these projects, but this is the part that makes the progress feel real.

Looking forward to getting this one completed and turned over.

All in a day’s work.

Yesterday, our team completed another demolition as part of Sarasota County’s Resilient SRQ Program, preparing the property for the next phase: delivery and installation of a new home.

We are incredibly thankful for the dedication of our team and the care they bring to every step of the recovery process. Work like this takes coordination, attention to detail, and a shared understanding that behind every project is a family waiting to move forward.

We are equally grateful for the trust placed in Assist2Build to play a role in such an important effort within Sarasota County. Being part of the continued rebuilding after is a responsibility we do not take lightly.

One more site prepared. One more family closer to . One more step toward home.

🏡 Another One Bites the Dust!

Another MHU replacement project is officially complete, and this one means a little more than simply checking another project off the list.

Today, we’re proud to welcome another hurricane survivor home in Venice, Florida.

From removing the damaged unit and navigating permitting and site-specific requirements to installing and completing the new manufactured home, projects like this are what disaster recovery is all about: helping families move forward after the storm.

There is still work to be done across Florida, but every completed home represents real progress for a family that has been waiting to get back to normal.

Welcome home.

There are few moments in disaster recovery more meaningful than handing a homeowner the keys to their completed home.

This project represents much more than construction. It represents months of coordination, inspections, problem-solving, craftsmanship, and teamwork coming together for one purpose: getting a family safely back home.

From site preparation and installation to the final finishes and walkthrough, our team at Assist2Build is proud to have helped bring this project across the finish line.

Today, the paperwork is complete, the final walkthrough is behind us, and the keys are officially in the homeowner’s hands.

This is what recovery is supposed to look like.
