We love some history!

1916 SEARS ROEBUCK MODERN HOMES
With its exposed rafters and Craftsman-style clustered porch columns, this is an uncommonly "artistic" Foursquare. Four bedrooms are upstairs, but in an unusual spin, the bathroom is located downstairs next to the kitchen. A large reception hall imposes more formality on the plan than might otherwise be expected, but overall, the room flow is good.
In the 1923 catalog, the plan is renamed as the Woodland and comes in two variations. The first, like the 1916 model, is a four-bedroom with the bathroom located on the main floor. The second plan has a large closet on the main floor, and the bathroom is moved to the second floor with five small bedrooms.

FASICK REFRESH, just in time for spring! We were in and out. A broken water feed to the refrigerator prompted a visit to this residence. The Fasick’s were also dealing with the effect of shoddy workmanship in certain areas of their starter home. Our scope of work entailed repair of bubbling drywall seams and rough transitions, base moulding, lighting fixtures, replaced the interior basement door, cabinet hardware, doorbell, LVT flooring, and a fresh paint job.

In and out insurance project. We received a call regarding a local family in an unexpected emergency situation. In-laws are coming in this Thursday from out of town and are staying in their finished walk-out basement. As luck, or bad luck has it from time to time, a pipe to an exterior hose bib burst causing flooding and taking out some drywall, trim, paint, LVT flooring, and padding. We got right in, we got right out and this family will continue as planned.
