Dow Michigan Operations: Live Fire Safety Training Awareness

Dow’s ES&S will conduct planned live fire safety training exercises on site on Thursday afternoons over the next four weeks. The training sessions are scheduled for May 7, 14, 21, and 28 and are part of Dow’s ongoing emergency response preparedness training. During these exercises, members of the public may observe visible smoke in the MiOps East area; this is expected and managed under controlled training conditions.

What an incredible night at Build Like a Girl 2026!

With over 275 students registered, the Great Hall in Midland was filled with curiosity, confidence, and hands on learning as girls explored construction and skilled trades alongside women working in the industry.

Dow is proud to support events that open doors and help young people image what’s possible.

03/08/2026

As we recognize International Women’s Day during Women’s History Month, we’re reminded that the future of manufacturing and skilled trades depends on who feels encouraged to build, lead, and belong from an early age.

That’s why we support initiatives like Build Like a Girl, where students gain hands-on exposure to real-world skills and learn directly from professionals working in our industry today.

Thank you to our colleagues who volunteered their time last month to help students in Midland, Michigan, explore what a career in manufacturing and skilled trades can look like.

When young people can see themselves in these spaces early on, it builds confidence, expands what feels possible, and helps strengthen the future workforce our communities and industry rely on.
