Careers in construction can take you further than you ever imagined. Darwin Linares, a proud ODG team member since 2014, began his career learning the insulation trade in the field and discovered a passion for teaching others along the way.

Today, he helps our apprentices build successful careers through mentorship, hands-on training, and guidance. His commitment to growing others earned him the Instructor of the Year Award and continues the efforts to help others succeed across the company.

Careers in Construction Month is here!

One of the things that makes ODG special is that many of our employees have built entire careers here. Some started in the field and became leaders. Others discovered new opportunities by moving between trades, departments, or affiliate companies.

From Helpers and Mechanics to Project Managers, Estimators, Recruiters, and Accountants, every role plays a part in our success.

Not everyone speaks the language of construction, and that's okay. We wanted to make what our affiliates do a little easier to understand, so we sent our youngest interviewer on a mission to ask a simple question: What do you do? Here's how our affiliates explained their work in everyday terms.

ODG is a proud participant of Construction Su***de Prevention Week, serving as an important reminder that behind every hard hat is a person who matters.

While our industry is known for prioritizing physical safety, mental health deserves the same attention. Take a moment this week to check in on yourself, your coworkers, your friends, and your family. Sometimes a simple conversation can make all the difference.

At ODG, we care about each other both on and off the jobsite. Let's continue building a culture where it's okay to speak up, ask for help, and support one another.

Together, we can save lives.

We’re proud to share that ODG has been recognized by ABC’s STEP (Safety Training Evaluation Process) program for our continued commitment to workplace safety and safety excellence.

This achievement reflects the dedication across ODG, and how we make safety a priority every day on every jobsite. Through our commitment to safe work practices and a culture of accountability, ODG teams were awarded Diamond and Platinum level recognitions. Thank you to every ODG member whose leadership and commitment continue to strengthen our safety culture. Your efforts demonstrate that safety is not just a requirement, but a core value that guides how we work and support one another.

As we wrap up our 2026 Summer Internship Program, our interns showed their thanks to the field teams who made their experience so valuable. As a small token of appreciation, the interns treated ODG crews to lunch to say thank you for their time, mentorship, and the hard work they put in every day. Our field teams are the driving force to what makes ODG successful, and we’re thankful for everything they do and for their willingness to be a part of our interns’ experience at ODG.
