Customer called me saying his AC is not working. I found dead compressor in 20y old r22 unit. He also told me that his air was not blowing good for some time already..... Well I checked basic things and I found pre-filters for static filter completly plugged. Customer approved quote for replacement so today I pulled out r22 gas but.... There was a surprise waiting for me..... Due to plugged filters, system pressure was way off causing it to freeze up. Some hack added 8lbs of r22 to unit to increase pressures, instead of checking basic things and killed the unit.... Well, New unit is in and customer is extremely happy!
