A 30-panel solar array in New Richmond.
Thirty REC 450-watt panels with Enphase microinverters, split across the garage and house roofs. The system is sized to offset about 87% of the home's electric use.
Two roof planes meant two separate conduit runs and mounting layouts. It let us spread the array across the best-oriented sections of each building. Running our own crew on a property this spread out kept the wiring and inspection points consistent across both roofs.
If your property has multiple structures, solar doesn't have to live on just one roof. An 87% offset still leaves you tied to the grid, not off it.
