Kentucky has moved up in the SEIA ranks to the 33rd in the nation for total installed solar capacity!

Why?:
A massive increase of 0.7 GW in total solar installed and 9 new solar companies providing jobs across the state! (Q1 2025 to Q1 2026)
To put this upwards trend in perspective, Kentucky now has enough solar to power 174,375 homes. That's 44,000 more homes than Q1 last year!

This upwards trend is resulting in more jobs, more power, and a more energy efficient state every year.

Indiana and Ohio maintained their status in the SEIA ranks.
Indiana bypassed Ohio by one spot. Last year Ohio ranked 11th and Indiana at 12th, now they have switched.

Why?:
Indiana ranked #3 in the nation for new solar installations.
Both states had a massive increase in total solar installed, 3.5 GW and 4.7 GW respectively (Q1 2025 to Q1 2026)
