Inspiring! – Milford High School Applied Technology Center – Career and Technical Education (CTE)

Turnstone Corporation has been a proud sponsor of this local program for years and is actively participating in a Co-op program offering real life on the job site experience for high school students both in accounting and in carpentry.

On April 16th, we continued that partnership and support through on site visits for the young professionals that are exploring opportunities in the trades. Twenty-six students got to tour two Construction Sites, one being our project in Henniker, NH, White Birch Cornerstone Community Center, and the HVAC training center at Manchester Community College.

Our team was honored to host these students and to give them a tour of the project. Students got the opportunity to see how projects come to life from blueprints to actual build. They were able to chat with Stacy J. Clark, President, Patrick Curran, Project Manager, and Matthew Darby, Superintendent to learn their stories and how their roles impact our projects.

Thank you to David Gilbert, CTE – Carpentry Instructor, for helping inspire the next generation of construction professionals. We’re so proud to be a part of this amazing program.

The exciting work progresses at the New Boston Fire Station as lettering on the apparatus bay is completed. The team is hard at work and continuing to make great strides on the construction of this building as we march closer to completion.

🚧👷‍♀️ The Next Generation of Technical Professionals! 👷‍♂️🚧

On Tuesday, May 20th, Stacy J. Clark, President of Turnstone Corporation, and Matthew Forget, Project Accountant, attended the CTE Awards Night at the Milford High School and Applied Technology Center.

In her keynote address, Stacy emphasized the tremendous effort and initiative the Milford School District has taken to implement work-based learning into the curriculum. Turnstone has always been a supporter of work-based learning and began an intern style employment opportunity for students in the Business Pathways (Accounting)program at the Milford High School 15 years ago. Today, Turnstone employs two interns; Riley Anchecta, Carpentry Intern, and Madelyn Tessier, Accounting Intern. Both Riley and Madelyn received awards for being program completers at last night’s event. We couldn't be prouder of our two interns for their achievements during their time at Milford High School! Congratulations to all award recipients and 2025 graduates!

Congratulations to Riley for being the recipient of The Joe Goci Memorial Scholarships to the Trades!

Thank you to all of the educators and administration in the CTE program for their commitment to making work-based learning possible and breaking through barriers to ensure the process is easy for employers to participate. We look forward to our continued partnership!
