At Stormwater, we like to be efficient – not wasting time or money. So when we found ourselves frustrated with unreliable roll-off dumpster and hauling contractors, we created our own solution: We purchased Timber Creek Rolloff Service.

Our crews provide expert site development work year-round. That means we are in frigid temperatures, as well as the scorching sun. How do we keep our workers safe? We follow extreme temperature best practices while fully supporting our crews, keeping their health and safety our #1 priority.

Ways to prevent heat-related illnesses include:

💦 Taking frequent breaks
💦 Wearing cool, sun protection clothing
💦 Finding shade

In addition to preventing overheating, we also train our employees on identifying symptoms of heat-related illnesses, including heat stroke and heat exhaustion.

We join Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) this week to recognize Operation Safe Driver Week (July 12-18). The goal of the week is to reduce unsafe driver behaviors through education, including:

🟡Offering commercial driver educational and awareness programs

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, of the 1,034 construction fatalities in 2024, 389 of those were due to a fall. These heartbreaking incidents are 100% preventable.

Here at Stormwater Facilities, we prioritize safety. No work can commence unless we are 100% sure we can do it safely. But working safely takes work, time, and a commitment from the entire organization.

That is why we are gathering as a company this week to join companies across the country in the National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction.
