So somehow the word got out that I recently won a large amount of money in the lottery! I’m not sure who divulge the secret but thanks a lot jerk. So now, my phone in my text messages are being inundated on friends and relatives that I haven’t heard from him in years, needing a helping hand.. I understand we all need help every now and then and I’m all for helping people so for those of you that needs a little money I have no problem helping you send a stamped self-addressed envelope with $10 enclosed and I will send you a portion of the winnings!

Hey folks, I want all of y’all to pay close attention to the politics going on in Santa Rosa county! I tried to make a donation to Bobby Burkett for Santa Rosa County Commissioner District 1 campaign. He politely declined, saying that he made himself a promise that he would not take any funding from a builder, developer or contractor! You’ve got to hand it to the man. While he may not take my donation , I strongly support this man of integrity . Please take a minute and visit Bobby ‘s page and look at his platform .

PSA For those of you who are battling the heat ( who isn’t right ?) if your A/C is struggling or on its last leg here are a couple of things you can do to help your A/C be a little more productive.
1) WATER your roof ! Yes you heard me right , water your roof. When watering your roof the heat that is captured in your attic and on your roof ( shingles) will be transferred to the water which will cool the roof surface thereby helping your A/C . Spray until the water dripping off your house is cool to the touch . At that point the water has done all it can do … STOP

2) WATER your West wall if your house is brick, stucco , stone , etc . IF your wall is wood this is not very beneficial as wood is a poor conductor of heat .

3) Buy a cheap soaker hose and wrap it around the sides of your outside A/C unit at the top of the louvers or fins you can hang it with Ty wraps or even coat hangers as necessary. Water is a much better conductor of heat than air . As your A/C pulls air inward and upward across the coils this fine mist of water will increase the efficiency of your unit . And soaker hoses use a minuscule amount of water

While these are NOT long term fix’s I’d rather pay an extra couple of bucks for water and be a little more comfortable.

This is our latest project located on Gulf Beach Hwy across from Big Lagoon! We anticipate a full renovation to be completed by the 1st of December IF we can get materials. Should be on the market by the second week of December
