Weekly team meetings on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7 PM in the SB27 Supermileage Shop in the Science Building. The MSOE Supermileage Vehicle Team, known as Team Carbonair, is a former SAE Design Competition team that currently participates in the Shell Eco-marathon competition. The team is composed of a diverse group of undergraduate students of all majors and experience levels. Leadership opportun

ities are available to all grade levels, with many freshmen and sophomores taking on their own design projects with mentoring from others on the team. The goal and purpose of the team is to design and construct a single-person, fuel-efficient vehicle that complies with the competition rules, where the vehicles compete in a track-based competition to obtain the highest number of miles per gallon. The student-led club provides every participant with the opportunity to enhance their engineering design and project management skills by applying learned classroom theories in a challenging competition.

We want to take a moment to appreciate our three graduating seniors of 2026; Charly, Harrison, and Maclane. These three leaders have been instrumental in bringing our team back to competition and towards another recorded mileage in the next few years. Maclane has been our project manager for two years, Charly has been engineering manager for two years, and Harrison has been sponsorship coordinator for two years. Many of us have never known this team without their leadership. We are going to miss them so much, but we are excited for them to move on into their next chapters as full-fledged engineers!

Yesterday, we hosted the first ever MSOE Supermileage Alumni, Family, and Friends event, and it was a great success! A great group of team alumni, family, friends, faculty, and corporate partners joined the current team in a showcase of the team’s history and work on the current vehicle. Team Carbonair would like to extend a tremendous THANK YOU to all of our donors on Giving Day 2026! We raised over $5,000 for the team for next year, which we are so incredibly grateful for. Your generosity supports up our current team and future teams by giving us the opportunity to be successful without financial burden. CALLING ALL ALUMNI, MENTORS, AND SUPPORTERS OF TEAM CARBONAIR!

We will be hosting a networking and learning event to reunite our MSOE Supermileage community on Saturday, May 2nd, from 4 PM to 7 PM. It will be at the MSOE Science Building, 432 E. Kilbourn Ave.

We will start with a brief presentation on our current team and what we've accomplished this year, followed by pizza, and ending with a tour of our shop and a viewing of this year's competition vehicle.
