Max Weiss Co LLC Max Weiss Company is an industry leader in bending, forming and fabricating structural steel and other metals for a wide variety of industries.

Since 1946, Max Weiss Company has focused on "Setting the Curve in Excellence" ... and will never stop. Setting the Curve in Excellence for Seven Decades … and Counting

“Humble beginnings” can be an overused term. Yet use it we will, as it accurately describes the small local blacksmith shop where Max Weiss Company started in 1946. Seven decades and four generations of family ownership later, Max

Weiss Company is a market leader in large metal forming, large rolled structural steel products, and hot-formed and fabricated metal shapes. We’ve set the curve in excellence by forming metals to the tightest radii in the industry, with minimal distortion and maximum consistency. Our value-added services save customers time and money by keeping the entire production process under one roof. Still, we’ve never forgotten what originally made that small blacksmith shop thrive: the human element. Hiring the best talent, and investing in our personnel, ensures our customers get the best possible quality in every bend and every weld. The human element carries over into service, too. We never forget that, while our work involves endless blueprints and numbers, we’re really dealing with people. Friendly, responsive customer service is the standard at Max Weiss Company. Some of our customers have done business with us for decades. We value all our customer relationships tremendously. Their needs drive our company. We never stop striving to exceed their expectations. At Max Weiss Company, the basic operating principles of service and quality were forged in those humble beginnings back in 1946. They’ve only grown stronger over time … and will always guide us to set the curve in excellence.

Max Weiss Co LLC was spotlighted in a recent issue of Modern Steel Construction as bender-roller for the new Amway Stadium in Grand Rapids, Mich. The article, titled "Roll(ed) Call," was subtitled "Three recent projects illustrate the possibilities and aesthetic impact that curved steel can achieve and add to a design." It's yet another stadium/arena (such as Fiserv Forum in downtown Milwaukee) where our metal forming professionals contributed to its structural integrity and visual appeal. Next time you're at a sporting event, look around and appreciate the talents of these craftsmen!

Eric Block, a metalworking maestro at Max Weiss Co LLC, cuts off a segment of 3" x 3" x 1/2" angle piece, one step in the process of it being formed into a precise circle. The piece will ultimately be rolled to a 108-9/16" inside diameter, and the ends welded together. Craftsmanship - and patience - meld to achieve the absolute accuracy needed!

This 3" x 3" x 1/2" angle piece has been rolled once. The next step is for Eric Block, a metal forming expert at Max Weiss Co LLC, to cut it to length, after which it will be rolled again to a 108-9/16" inside diameter. The ends will be welded to form a circle, and holes drilled into it. The cutting step involves careful measuring and marking before the torch is lit. Watch for video Thursday!

Talk about patience and precision! Watch as Peter Mathison (), a welding wonder at Max Weiss Co LLC, stitch welds a tube onto a base plate. The finished piece will be used as a strengthening insert inside a larger tube, to prevent the tube from deforming when it's bent. Note especially how long Pete focuses on completing the weld. This is not a job for those with short attention spans!

Why is Peter Mathison (), a welding wizard at Max Weiss Co LLC, stitch welding these small tubes onto a base plate? The finished piece will be used as a strengthening insert inside a larger tube, to prevent the tube from deforming when it's bent. The first step, though, is ensuring that the reinforcing small tubes are securely attached to the plate, and Pete's attention to detail is critical to everything performing as planned.
