FJAC crews providing a new roof system to protect patients and staff at Ascension’s St. Joseph hospital at 5000 W Chambers St., one of Milwaukee’s oldest hospitals.

Fun fact, the hospital was originally founded by the Wheaton Franciscans in 1879…the same year F.J.A. Christiansen Roofing was founded by Frederic Julius Andreas Christiansen!

At Tecta America, we build and repair roofs, but everything starts with a strong foundation.

As we celebrate 25 years in business, we had the privilege of sitting down with the remarkable gentlemen who laid that very foundation: our founders.

At this year’s annual Operating Unit Presidents Meeting, they joined a roundtable Q&A to share stories, lessons, and the vision that started it all. Their insights reminded us that while roofs protect what matters most, it’s the people, principles, and partnerships underneath them that truly define success.

Here’s to 25 years of growth, and to the foundation that made it all possible.
