Here’s another Seager engineering modification… timing cover oil seal conversion… that converts a pre-unit casing which has oil pressure fed to the end of the crankshaft by a bush to the later unit 650/750 where the oil pressure is controlled by a seal held in with a circlip… people often think is this necessary when Triumph obviously thought it was…. Infact most plain bearing engines require oil pressure of 40-60 PSI at the big ends and lots of bikes old and new have end feed cranks which in corporate a seal to help keep the oil in the crank..
The next one is our drive side oil seal conversion which keeps the oil in the crankcase … so often pre-unit engines in Tritons use a belt drive and a dry clutch… this conversion provides that and repairs any damage and wear to the crankcase where the inner primary cover fits…. We also face up where the inner cover bolts and provide shims to help with realignment of the case.. we can and do repair the threads BUT THESE WERE ALREADY DONE AND ARE NOT OUR WORK!
These are standard jobs for us and it’s reflected in the price and turn around.
