The federal solar Investment Tax Credit is still available, but new rules change everything for projects starting after July 4, 2026.

Here’s what you need to know:

30% tax credit still available for commercial solar. Projects must BEGIN CONSTRUCTION by July 4, 2026 to preserve full eligibility. Stack bonus credits for up to 20%, so your total benefit can reach 50% of project cost. After the deadline, stricter requirements and shorter timelines apply.
