🎖️ HOMETOWN HERO SPOTLIGHT:
THE WILDE FAMILY

Last year, we had the privilege of honoring the Wilde Family as our Hometown Hero recipients. Tanner Wilde, a 100% Service-Connected disabled Veteran, served our country for over 10 years in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman, Special Operations Combat Medic, and Civil Affairs Medical Sergeant.

Throughout his service, Tanner completed multiple overseas tours, including deployments to Afghanistan and Syria, sacrificing time with family and enduring both physical and emotional challenges in service to our country. After returning home, Tanner faced difficult battles with his mental and physical health — but through the support of his wife, Kati, and daughters, Izzy and Olive, he began the journey of healing and rebuilding.

Today, Tanner is focused on being the best husband and father he can be while also helping others facing similar mental health struggles.

💛 It was an honor for our team to provide whole-home insulation for the Wilde family and give back to someone who has given so much for others.

Thank you, Tanner, and the entire Wilde family, for your service, sacrifice, and strength.

🎖️ HOMETOWN HERO SPOTLIGHT: THE WILDE FAMILY

Some jobs stay with you forever, and this was one of them.

Our USA Insulation crew arrived at a beautiful older home to remove outdated attic insulation before installing a new, energy-efficient system. Like hundreds of other projects we’d completed, the day started with safety checks, equipment setup, and a plan for the work ahead. The homeowners had one request- they said the husband had lost a ring 30 years earlier and every contractor who had ever been up in the attic has been asked to find this ring.

As the crew carefully removed decades-old insulation from the attic, one technician noticed something unusual glinting beneath the dusty material. At first, he thought it was just a piece of metal or an old nail. But after brushing away years of dust and insulation fibers, he realized it was the gold ring.

The homeowner was called upstairs to take a look.

The moment they saw it, tears filled their eyes.

Despite countless searches over the years, the ring had never been found. Eventually, she and her husband accepted that it was gone forever. But there it was, hidden beneath layers of insulation for three decades.

The homeowners were so overwhelmed with joy and gratitude that they began thanking every member of the USA Insulation crew personally. One by one, they hugged each technician, expressing how much this discovery meant to their family. What started as a routine insulation project had turned into the recovery of a treasured piece of their family’s history.

For our team, it was a reminder that sometimes we’re doing more than improving comfort and energy efficiency. Occasionally, hidden beneath years of insulation and memories, there’s something truly priceless waiting to be found.

but the real victory wasn’t the new insulation—it was seeing two homeowners reunited with a ring they thought was lost forever and witnessing the pure happiness that followed.

It’s a story our crew will never forget.
