We were proud to join the Saint Paul Public Library, project partners, and neighbors of the Greater East Side last week for the ceremonial groundbreaking celebrating the renovation of the Hayden Heights Library in St. Paul.
This 12,000 SF neighborhood branch has served the community since the late 1970s and will soon be comprehensively renovated as part of the library’s Transforming Libraries initiative to better support today’s community needs.
The event brought together members of the surrounding community, representatives from The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library led by Diane Konopka, Director of the Saint Paul Public Library Maureen L. Hartman, and elected leaders including Mayor Kaohly Her, Council Member Nelsie Yang, Senator Foung Hawj, Representative Liz Lee, a representative from Representative Betty McCollum’s office, and the Knight Foundation.
A special shoutout to our friends at LSE Architects, Inc. for reimagining this much-loved community resource. We are excited to see this next chapter take shape.
