People walked into our InfoComm 2026 Higher Ed vignette and took phone calls they'd normally step outside for.

We built it to show a hybrid classroom, not a hiding spot. But with Middle Atlantic Ori acoustic ceiling tiles and TruTile wall tiles in the room, attendees started using it that way anyway. By day two, people on the floor were calling it "the quiet corner."

Nobody asked about NRC ratings. They just stayed.

We wrote up how the least flashy part of the room became the busiest spot in the booth. Link in the first comment.

Kendra Philips, Senior Vice President of Sales at Legrand | AV, has been named one of CE Pro's 2026 Women to Watch. Before leading sales, she ran Business Development, Marketing, Specification Sales, and Global Accounts at Legrand. She also worked the integration side at Spinitar and business development at Middle Atlantic Products.

Most campus renovations get a ribbon cutting and then everyone moves on. This one gets phone calls.

After NC State University finished a hybrid classroom in one of its oldest buildings, peer institutions started asking to visit. The room ended up on the facilities tour during a conference the university hosted. Attendees stopped to ask how it was built. Now the university is converting a former production studio into a second classroom using everything it learned the first time.

Trade shows are loud. Finding a quiet spot on the InfoComm show floor is next to impossible. Yet we created one in our booth at InfoComm 2026, and it happened by accident.

The plan was simple. Build a working classroom to demonstrate a system.

Then attendees walked in, felt the noise drop, and started taking calls. Booth staff watched people duck in to finish quiet meetings between appointments. By day two, the floor had named it the quiet corner. The system worked better than any spec sheet could show.
