Thanks to Sourcewell for inviting us back for their Young Authors Conference. Dr. Carter read his first book “Tyronne Carter Kid Scientist” to six classes and showed them how to assemble the paper rocket activity shown in the back of the book! A good time was had by all!

Dr. Fun was the keynote speaker at last week's Science in Action conference at Central Lakes College, hosted by Sourcewell. A great audience, and thanks to Crysta for inviting us!

Dr. Fun spent a day in Pine Island, giving four STEM classes to grades 1-4, and raffling off a few of our books. This was courtesy of a grant given to America's Urban Elementary STEM by the Minnetonka Rotary.

We got great feedback from the Maple Grove library: "Thank you for providing your skills and time for the Slime Table Fun program at the Maple Grove Library today! All of the kids who were able to participate looked like they fully enjoyed their experience. I saw many of them trying to completely engulf themselves in their slime. Thankfully, they only had enough to make one slimy gauntlet."

Dr. Fun gave the keynote address at last Tuesday's SWWC Science & Nature Conference at Southwest Minnesota State University, despite some adverse conditions: in 90 degree heat the A/C at the university was unexpectedly "offline." But we're like the post office: nothing shall deter us from our goal! Which is to make science fun.
