Do you know what to do if you have severe storm damage? First, call your Insurance Company. They may have specific contractors they use. If not, make sure the contractor you hire is licensed, bonded and insured. ALSO, make sure they see the project from beginning to end. Some contractors will just do the board-up or demo, take the insurance money and leave you with the finish work. If you’re unsure, give us a call. We will find the right people and right solution for you. There are “Storm Chasers” out there looking for quick money. Ask lots of questions, get references, protect yourself. They know you want it done right away and say they will be there tomorrow, not the best answer as good contractors are booked out for weeks, but a good contractor will at least patch the problem till they can get to it. We received a call yesterday of a tree that fell on a pavilion at a property we help manage. It was not pleasant to see as the Trustee has put so much time and money into making that pavilion a place for family and the community to come together. We spent majority of the day cleaning it up and making it safe. HUGE Thank You to the fire department that also helped with the clean up! No worries though, the Trustee wants to make it even better for the community! Check In for updates!
