As Sentinel High School celebrates its 70th anniversary, students have launched the Sentinel@70 initiative—leading the way in creating a greener, cooler, and more welcoming campus for all.

Their vision includes:
• Planting more trees
• Installing benches, trash cans, and shade structures
• Designing outdoor classrooms and flexible, multi-use spaces
• Building walking paths
• Developing a long-term master plan to guide future improvements

WGM Group, in partnership with Missoula County Public Schools and MMW ARCHITECTS are supporting the effort through master planning and landscape architectural design and expertise. Demonstrating a deep investment in the community, WGM and MMW generously contributed their professional services to bring this vision to life.

Students are also taking the lead on the capital campaign. This spring, they aim to raise $50,000 as they prepare to break ground on Phase II of the project.

OUTSWIMMING HUNGER

At WGM Group, Inc., we believe in building more than just infrastructure—we believe in building stronger communities. For the 13th year in a row, we partnered with the talented 5th graders from St. Joseph Elementary and Middle School to support the Missoula Food Bank & Community Center with their annual fundraiser CANdemonium.

We are thrilled to unveil MegaloCan—a prehistoric powershark built out of canned goods. Please go VOTE for our structure as your favorite, for a friendly competition – all proceeds from voting go directly to the Food Bank!

The students picked this year’s fierce design, our talented engineers crafted it, and we met together to build this dino-themed structure! The students raised all the money to purchase the food for the build, which will go directly to the Food Bank. Go check out our "Megalodon," plus all the other can structures.

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), in partnership with the City of Missoula and WGM Group, continues to make progress on the Russell Street corridor between Dakota Street and Mount Avenue, and on West Broadway Street between Toole Avenue and Mullan Road.

Join us February 18 from 4 - 6 p.m. at the Salvation Army, located at 355 South Russell Street, as MDT hosts a community meeting about this project. We hope to see you there!
