Erin Yost here: Our first Winter Storm Watch of the season has been issued by NWS Missoula! This is for elevations above 5,500' from late Saturday evening into Sunday morning where 2"-6" are possible. There's a 50% chance elevations above 7,000' could see 6"+. This will impact Glacier National Park including Going-to-the-Sun Road and Logan Pass. Let your friends/family know if they have backcountry plans ❄️

Moderate to heavy snow will move through northwest and west-central Montana today and Wednesday. The heaviest snow will fall over our mountain passes. Lookout, Lolo and Marias Passes could see 1 to 2 feet of snow!
