Just made fresh Sea Moss Gel. I have 1 extra pint of Pineapple + Mango + Dates available for porch pick-up. This is one of my favorite flavors!! 😋 Kind of dole whip like, tropical, sweet. 🤌🥰

It’s no secret that the government is driving increased efficiency and decarbonization through the AIM Act. New mandates and updated efficiency standards—like SEER2—are reshaping the residential market and pushing us toward more environmentally responsible solutions.

In his July article for , instructor Adam Mufich shares his perspective on how these changes are impacting our industry. He reminds us that while we can’t control the future of residential HVAC, we can focus on mastering our craft and taking pride in the work we do. That means staying educated, staying prepared, and moving forward together as high-performance professionals.

AC struggling? High power bill? Need to squeeze just a little more cooling out of your hard working AC? Here’s a home remedy.

• replace your dirty filter. Not so obvious to new home owners/renters

• install a less restrictive (in most cases)filter

I know you want that allergy filter but it’s blocking too much air during this heat wave. Those 90 day filters may not be your friend in a heat wave. Unlike the cruise control on your vehicle most cooling systems reduce “speed” as the filter system becomes more restrictive. Most just can’t ramp up speed. Go buy a $3ish filter from ACE or a locally owned hardware store. I live in West Mobile and recommend Dawes Hardware for basic filters. They have a large selection and helpful and knowledgeable team. I haven’t asked but I bet they can order you a box. Only buy the filters you can see through and use it until the temperatures drop and you can start using that allergy filter again. If you can’t see your reflection in a mirror looking through the filter then dont buy it. Lowe’s , Walmart, Home Depot and the grocery store don’t usually stock the cheap filters. So don’t expect to find them there. You will get more cooling out of your AC with a less efficient (dust stopper) filter. Still worried about the non allergy filters I recommend? Want to get the best airflow and keep your allergy filters. Talk to your AC professional about measuring your AC’s airflow during a service. Some AC’s are maxed out right now and can’t afford extra air resistance that a high quality filter places on your AC. There are many excellent options available to you that will not overburden your AC on the hottest days that your tech can install. And no, a tech using his hand to feel the air coming out the vent is not a professional measurement. A good tech will have cool meters to verify airflow.

Don’t have a tech? Free free to reach to me with Messenger at the bottom of this post.

•AC working great? Feel free to Ignore what I just said but still a good practice to verify proper airflow.
