A real eye opener - thanks for all the hard work you do Mobile Baykeeper!

By Gabriel Tynes, Dale Liesch and Jason Johnson Mobile Baykeeper’s Sept. 19 notice of intent to sue Daphne Utilities over fraudulent reporting was the latest salvo in an escalating effort to see that local utilities do something about the large releases of untreated sewage that accompany almost any…

Amazing technology – a perfect system for disaster relief. Truck rolls out solar panels like a carpet. Called Roll-Array, the technology can be towed by any 4X4 car. It is fairly simple to use. First, hook the Roll-Array to the back of the car and drop it off where you want to place the solar panels. Then use a spool to connect the Roll-Array to the back of a car. Drive the car forward and allow the spool to pull the Roll-Array out like a carpet. Your solar panels are dropped in a matter of two minutes Reference Roll-Array Renovagen Watch https://lnkd.in/fw95xQE

Bengaluru techie-turned-farmer Manohar Sambandam has made India’s first agri-tech robot to battle farm labour shortage - cotton-picking robot. When you pick cotton, you have to use your hand — and the shells create a sharp edge, and you can hurt your hand. There is a shortage of labour because people were not willing to pick it. The robot uses a six degrees of freedom arm, so that it can approach the cotton boll from the side. It uses path planning algorithms and inverse kinematics to guide the arm, and avoid the branches. The robot is able to detect cotton through image processing, without the need for deep learning algorithms. The arm is fitted with a tube that has vacuum maintained in it that sucks out the cotton boll and collects it in one go. Great . Join with me to congratulate Manohar. Watch https://lnkd.in/fFJTTC8

Wood you believe it: Floating Ferrari made from pine. Livio De Marchi spent 5 months whittling a block of pine into a Ferrari F50 – an Italian car fit for the Italian canals. He carefully carved the famous logo, rims and brake lights into the wood and added a Yamaha boat engine to power it through the water. Livio is understandably proud of his incredible creation Ferrari boat as he travels through Venice's canals Watch https://lnkd.in/fNhedyM

Sharing is caring. The video is so touching. It's lunch time at a Norwegian school and the students open their lunch box. But a student discovers that his lunch box is empty. He goes out of class. When he comes back, he finds out that his lunch box is full of food. He understands that the students around him have shared some of their lunch with him. The solutions are often closer than we think. Watch https://lnkd.in/fyzaupG

Would you be interested in clothing that grows with your kid. According to a survey by Aviva, parents spend an average £2,000 on clothing before their child reaches the age of 3. This is because most children grow 7 sizes in their first 2 years of life. Not only does mass production of garments put huge pressure on the environment through waste, water consumption, and carbon emissions, it takes a toll on parents’ wallets. Now you have incredible clothing that grows with the child who wears it. The cloth expands or contracts automatically, resulting in a perfect fit each time. One article of clothing will fit a 3-month-old until he or she is 3 years old. The clothing is made from distinctive pleated lightweight fabric which is machine washable, waterproof and recyclable Reference Petit Pli by Ryan Yasin Watch https://lnkd.in/fwX4c2t

Will you join the movement to stop plastic pollution at the source? Britain’s first zero-waste store is packaging-free and only sells ethical goods. The supermarket stocks regionally-grown oats, sanitary products, metal shavers that the blade can be swapped on and bamboo toothbrushes. Reportedly, the “grind-your-own” nut butter machines are the most popular. “Filled with both almonds and peanuts, you can re-use your nut butter jar again and again and again, each time filling it with delicious, sticky goodness that’s been ground right in front of you. Shoppers are required to bring their own containers. After the containers are weighed, shoppers pay for their purchases by the weight. Hope we will see similar businesses erected worldwide so the environment may be preserved while humanity is nourished. Reference Earth.Food.Love grocery store, Devon, UK. Frequent floods are prompting me to consider amphibious vehicle – a vehicle lets you switch from driving on land to cruising in the water. Lazareth's MOKE amphibie is an amphibious cult classic car. It has an aluminum body filled with closed-cell foam, which both allows it to float and keeps it from rusting. The 4WD vehicle features a small 400 cc euro-four engine capable of driving the cult-classic car up to 90 km/h (55 mph) on land. Drive it into the water, and its integrated propeller can take over from the wheels within a matter of seconds, delivering an aquatic top speed of 7 knots. I wish to have one.
