Haley Underground Inc. has immediate openings for underground construction laborers to install dry utilities (electric, phone, cable, gas) and street lighting. Experienced applicants preferred but will consider applicants with general labor experience. Successful candidates must be committed to working safely, be reliable, and demonstrate the ability to work with a team.
Basic abilities/responsibilities:
-Manual labor
-Able and eager to assist with hand digging
-Excellent communication skills
-Ability to learn quickly, keep a positive attitude, and to work efficiently.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
-Digging/cleaning out trenches (hand digging, pot holing, backfill, and compact).
-Laying and connecting pipe/conduit (electric, gas, communications)
-Preparing and cleaning jobsites using a variety of machines/equipment, power and hand tools.
-Moving materials
-Follow direction of daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be capable of working outdoors in all types of weather conditions. (hot/cold).
- Must be able to bend, squat and kneel, climb ladders, in and out of ditch/trench.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Job Requirements:
-Must have a valid CA driver’s license. (Class C minimum, Class A is a plus)
-Must be able to pass a drug test.
*Positions are full time with plenty of opportunity for overtime. We are a NON-UNION company. Pay will depend on experience. We offer benefits and 401K after completion of probation.
