is an independent marketer of motor fuels, and lubricants. Our company is well into its third generation of privately held family ownership, with its original founder, Ora F. Breshears, starting the company in Waterford, California in 1938 with one small gasoline service station under the Standard Oil Company brand name. Today, the company serves over 8 counties in the San Joaquin Valley and Mothe

r Lode areas of California. W.H. owns and operates four major terminals for distribution of Chevron brand products. The company also owns, operates and/or serves Chevron retail facilities (stations/foodmarts) under the Food & Fuel Stores brand name, as well as five Fleet Fueling automated cardlock facilities in Central California. The focus of the company’s business, since its origin, has been on serving the petroleum needs of the fertile agriculture market, as well as the strong commercial and industrial markets of California. has been an award-wining lubricants marketer for Chevron Products Company for many years. All of the company’s lubricants are distributed in various bulk and package sizes. Currently, the company repackages over 70% of its Chevron lubricants products using its Modesto packaging facility. Growth of W.H. over the years has been achieved through a combination of market development and mergers and acquisitions. In 1978, the company expanded into the timber and mining industry with its purchase of the Chevron distribution terminal in Sonora, California. In the 1980’s, W.H. acquired a Phillip’s 66 distributorship based in Modesto. In the 1990’s, the company acquired another Chevron distributor based in Turlock, California and a Mobil distributor based in Newman, California. In 2009 we began the acquisition of our Atwater facility formally operated by Silviera Petroleum. As we continue to grow, our Chevron Lubricant business, bulk facilities and warehouse expansion are all long-range plans we are working towards. As an “independent oil marketer” we have the ability to market any oil companies products. While many of our competitors sell a number of different brands, we strongly use our relationship with Chevron and their superior product line as our primary brand we carry.

These are strange times. COVID-19 is having a real impact on all of us - our families, our work, our daily routines, and a multitude of businesses. W.H. Breshears, Inc. remains vigilant in our efforts to help the communities we serve during this uncertain time. We are actively taking the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our staff and you, our customers.

In light of California’s recent Shelter-In-Place ordinance, we want to assure you that as a critical infrastructure industry, all W.H. Breshears, Inc. locations and delivery routes will remain open and in operation. We are pleased to continue to serve the goods and services you rely on us for: to heat your homes, fuel your vehicles, supply your food chain, and everything in between.

In addition, all of our locations are adhering to safety regulations by sanitizing the offices throughout the day. Our transport drivers are also taking the necessary precautions as they continue their routes by keeping hand sanitizer in their trucks. As a reminder, if you wish to stay at home, you will still be able to schedule deliveries, place an order, and pay your bill online or over the phone.
