Graduate Assistants present technical papers at the Antelope Valley Society of Flight Test Engineers (SFTE) Symposium on Oct. 21st. The National Test Pilot School sponsored three technical presentations including "NTPS Aeronautical Mobile Telemetry Technology Upgrade" by Graduate Assistants Stephanie, Jared, and Courtney, "NTPS Variable Stability Simulator (VSS) Upgrade to X-Plane 10" by Graduate Assistant Zack, and "Stable, or Not (Quasi Static FTT Results)" by Flight Test Instructor Nigel. Great job presenters!

Much progress has been made on an experimental homebuilt RV-12 out in Mojave, California! National Test Pilot School (NTPS) Graduate Assistants successfully completed the empennage/tailcone section of the aircraft. The wing sections are currently underway! This build project is giving Graduate Assistants an opportunity to gain skills in leadership, aircraft construction, and experience on managing a long term project. NTPS Instructors, Students, and Graduate Assistants attended the Society of Experimental Test Pilot's (SETP) 60th Annual Symposium on Sept 21st - 24th. The Symposium featured three days of Aerospace/Aeronautical technical papers from around the world and the opportunity to meet and network with other Flight Test Professionals!

NTPS Graduate Assistants have successfully completed the major assembly of the rudder, vertical stabilizer, stabilator, and anti-servo tab on the school’s homebuilt E-LSA (Experimental Light Sport Aircraft); a Vans RV-12! The tailcone assembly is currently underway! Stay tuned for the next major milestone!
