Problems with the old 2x4 attic ceiling joists that we saw:
•not deep enough for a high r value of insulation
•overspanned would have cause significant sag with Sheetrock

We decided to give this Brock Paver Base a shot in order to save our client some money on labor and materials. It’s basically a Schluter-Systems North America underlayment except for pavers. Overall we were impressed with its easy install and cost effectiveness

Is that fence of yours looking raggedy? A well maintained fence can last a tremendous amount of time longer than a neglected one!
If you catch it in time, you might just need a little elbow grease to make it look brand new instead of tearing it down and starting over.
With some sanding, possibly a couple of replaced boards, and a new coat of stain it can be good to go for those summer family gatherings in the backyard!

You did it! You bought that nice brand new house in the neighborhood where there’s 100 more going up. You’re excited at first but then you start to notice everything from drywall nail pops, uneven lines on base, tiny little pieces of flooring shoved into corners, doors that swing open by themselves, uneven grout lines. The list goes on. At Brick and Beam, when we take on a project, we treat it like it’s our own. We don’t cut corners.
