RAM Energy Solutions, LLC is a premier oil and gas measurement service company operating in West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico. The Measurement Field Technician is responsible for the accurate, timely, and consistent measurement of produced volumes. Primary responsibilities include performing daily workflow of assigned schedule, including verifying proper operation, testing, calibration, proving, maintenance, witnessing, and installation of liquid and gas measurement equipment. Position ensures that field measurement procedures are followed in compliance with company, industry, and regulatory standards, as well as contractual requirements. Technician shall adhere to all company and corporate safety standards.
Responsibilities include:
Verify that the measurement equipment is installed per applicable company standards.
Perform routine measurement functions such as verifying/calibrating/proving gas and liquid allocation and custody transfer measurement equipment.
Collect oil and gas samples.
Create and maintain the proper measurement documentation, RTU configurations, Pre-Job Safety well pad assessment, and JSA documentation to be filed in company data base system.
Perform routine maintenance of custody transfer and allocation liquid and gas measurement equipment used in various measurement systems.
Provide field technical support and commissioning of the measurement equipment.
Monitor and maintain the measurement, automation, and communication equipment.
Work closely with Operations, Measurement, SCADA, and HSE Teams.
Utilize TESTit, PROVEit, and Microsoft Office for maintaining schedules and documentation.
Witness 3rd party custody measurement equipment calibrations, oil tank sales, oil meter provings, shake outs, etc.
Provide on-site measurement assistance to Production group as required.
Follow and promote HSE Safety standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 year’ experience in oil and gas production and gathering operations.
Working knowledge of EFM / RTU Platforms (Emerson, ABB, etc.), radio and field infrastructure communications (FreeWave, ABB, Redline, etc.) is preferred.
Working knowledge of a Cygnet Platform SCADA system is preferred.
Experience using ROC, ABB Totalflow, and Micro Motion environment is preferred.
Computer skills using various programs including most Microsoft Office Suite programs.
Various EFM application software such as ROCLINK, PCCU, Prolink, TESTit and PROVEit preferred.
Knowledge of primary measurement devices such as Coriolis, or***ce, turbine, magnetic, etc.
Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
High school graduate.
Valid Driver license required.
Must have the ability to lift at least fifty pounds and work in harsh weather conditions.
Must be able to pass drug & alcohol testing (Pre-Hire & Randoms)
