Start your career as a lineworker with Berkeley Electric!

Applications are now open for Berkeley Electric's Electrical Lineworker Internship Program. Selected candidates will attend Trident Technical College's Electrical Lineworker Program, with all tools and equipment provided by the cooperative.

This unique opportunity combines hands-on field experience with Berkeley Electric line crews and expert classroom instruction in electrical theory and industry fundamentals. Students will train in real-world conditions at TTC's outdoor training facility and graduate with a 3rd-Class Lineman Certification.

Berkeley Electric's Surge Guard program is here to protect you and your home from unexpected voltage surges that could damage your devices or even large appliances. Get better protected with Berkeley Electric’s surge guard program.

Surge Guard® is a whole-home program where a surge suppressor is installed at the meter base. These meter base units are leased by Berkeley Electric Cooperative to program participants for a small monthly fee.

Berkeley Electric is proud to continue celebrating its partnership with the Charleston RiverDogs throughout the 2026 season!

Ed Rogers, a Materials Management Specialist who has proudly served Johns Island members for the past two years, will be honored at the RiverDogs game this afternoon. A lifelong baseball lover, he is excited to watch his son throw out the first pitch to kick off the game. Watch for a special video shout-out of Ed on the big screen!

What an amazing turnout for the Reading with the RiverDogs event held at the John’s Island Library on Wednesday. During this event, the players read to local children in both Spanish and English. There was singing, dancing, a free lunch, and photo ops with the RiverDogs, Charlie, and other mascots!
