Labor Day means a little more when your business is built by people who work with their hands.

At Kundert Construction, we get a front-row seat every day to what hard work really looks like. Problem solving, craftsmanship, teamwork and a whole lot of pride in doing the job right.

Today, we’re especially grateful for our team and for all the men and women across the trades who build, repair, maintain and improve the communities we call home.

The work matters.

The people doing it matter even more.

Everything we do in the construction industry and at Kundert Construction is about relationships.

We build trust and a relationship with our clients.

We create an environment where our employees can build great projects with great people and for great people.

We build relationships with our local schools like the School District of Monroe to help elevate the trades and get the next generation excited about joining the trades.

We build relationships with local organizations like Green County Development Corporation that are working tirelessly to make an impact on housing and the greater economic development of our area.

We build partnerships with our subcontractors and vendors who do an incredible job working with our team. Even when they get a last minute call to scramble and get something fixed. We try real hard to not let that happen but sometimes you open a wall up and find some surprising things!

Finally, we build one heck of a team to do everything we do.

Repeat clients and referral clients are incredible. We still do work for our very first client back in the 1990's! It's all started with building trust and building that relationship. It's exciting to build new relationships with prospective clients too.

You see, relationships are the cornerstone of what we do.

Special shout out to all of those who have worked with us, for us and helped us do what we do in the community. Thank you for everything.

Preconstruction is such a crucial step for any project.

The transition from design to project management to the field is like the game of telephone.

Things can get missed if we aren’t communicating and documenting well.

The team came together last Friday to do some precon work for this project.

Still plenty more to do on that front and certainly more improvement can be made to make everyone’s life easier but we’re making good strides.

The goal is to set the next person up for success and ultimately create a great experience for our clients.

Precon is a big piece of that puzzle!

Fresh siding. Clean lines. A whole new look.

This Monroe home near Twining Park is getting a major exterior upgrade and the difference is already huge.

New siding doesn’t just change how a home looks. It helps protect it, tightens up the exterior and can give an older home a completely different presence from the street.

Our crew has been working through the details here with siding, trim, soffit, fascia, corners and even a chimney, making sure everything comes together clean.

Projects like this are a good reminder that you don’t always need a brand-new house to make your home feel brand new.
