Super proud of these two young men!

They worked together, used great communication, made a few mistakes, learned why and completed their tasks!

Overall they did a fantastic job this morning.
The roof isn’t perfect but for a 16 year old and a 21 year old doing their first roof and refusing to let me butt in lol, I am super happy with their results!

Can’t wait to see what these two young men will build together!

Next they will be adding an addition off the side so stay tuned!

Either way they are getting to learn how to bisect and measure which will come in handy on the next house we build!

Pocket doors are a great way to save space without sacrificing style!

By sliding into the wall instead of swinging into the room, they free up valuable floor space and give the home a clean, functional look.

Pocket doors are going in on this project now — stay tuned for paint and trim-out coming next! 🔨

Lots of progress today at the Sumpter addition.

All the windows got new metal corner bead and were set with a laser, first coat of mud on the 1st floor windows.
One window got broken by one of the subs so I ordered a new one this morning to replace it.

Attic insulation went in!
We added another sump in the crawl space for added protection.

Floor is currently being scraped and cleaned in preparation for the Red Oak hard wood that will be installed.

Stay tuned for the finished results!
We still got trim, doors, floors and touch ups to do before we deliver this 1280 SQFT 2 story addition to the homeowners.
