🔍 Let's talk about air filters...

Not all air filters are created equal, and choosing the right one can make a big difference in your home's comfort, air quality, and even the life of your Furnace and A/C.

The photo below shows two filters that came out of residential HVAC system. One is clean. The other is well past its prime.

✅ Standard 1" Filters
• Should be checked monthly.
• Typically need replacement every 1–3 months.
• Have less surface area, so they fill up faster.
• When dirty, they can restrict airflow, increase energy usage, and put extra strain on your HVAC system.

✅ Media Filters (4"-5" Thick)
• Have much more surface area to capture dust and debris.
• Provide excellent filtration while maintaining proper airflow.
• Typically only need replacement every 6–12 months.
• Great for homes with pets, allergies, or anyone looking for cleaner indoor air with less maintenance.

The best filter isn't always the most expensive one. It's the one that provides proper filtration while allowing your system to breathe.
