Join us on November 18th to hear from Jennifer Roberson as she presents on “Modern Corridor Management: Improving Efficiency on US-231 without Adding Capacity”. This presentation will highlight an access management project along US-231 in Troy.

The presentation will begin at 12:00 PM. Lunch will be sponsored by AECOM.

Registration will close on November 14th with a virtual option remaining open until the meeting start time.

We had an amazing time at our 3rd Annual Golf Outing before we kicked off the new year that the Alabama Transportation Conference. The brave came out to bear the cold and it paid off with being a beautiful day for golf! The Ergon team (Mark Waits, Matt Jeffers, Dalton Chamblee, and Tyler Kee) came in first place 18 under. We had the most fun celebrating the holiday season in Mobile, AL at POST. Toys for Tots were brought in and donated to a local branch! Thank you to all who came out!

Last Thursday, the ASHE Alabama Section was proud to present a check going towards civil engineering scholarships at UAB. John Jennings (Section President) and Renardo Dorsey (Section member) were present for the presentation to CCEE Chair Avinash Unnikrishnan. They were also able to speak to the student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). The two spoke about their career experience with the Alabama Department of Transportation and their involvement with the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE).

We will discuss the status of the section, upcoming events, and new officers. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 27th at Martha's Place in Montgomery, AL from 11:30 PM - 1:30 PM.
