Clients are moved in and everyone is hard at work with the final touches. While this house is tied to the grid, it has a solar array charging a be battery bank that will last for over a week with no power and no sun. There are (3) 1000 Gallon propane tanks buried underground that store enough fuel to last more than a year of constant use. And to top it off, the water supply is from a registered spring that fills 4000 gallon tanks with fresh drinking water. Once the water enters the house, it goes through an extensive filtration/purification process that ensures it to be safe for drinking.

This project has not been easy, but so satisfying. From the moose that swim in the pond most days of the summer, to the morning sunrises on the drive up. We will miss this project.

The outdoor shower was trimmed out yesterday. This is definitely a bucket list item for my future home.

Winter is coming!! We canceled what would have been our second to last concrete pour today due to snowy roads. Hopefully we can get a few more warm days in the coming weeks before the weather really sets in. Thanks to Alex Jay and Keenan’s Plumbing, we won’t have to shovel any snow this winter. They have installed over 2,200 square feet of snowmelt on this project. We get to watch it melt away as fast as it falls. The road coming up will be a different story!

This patio has taken the hard work from a lot of men. From the excavation and boulder retaining wall, to the custom scribed forms around each boulder, the 1200 sf of heat lines and finally the concrete. The weather held up and the day was a success. I ask my subs to do some tricky work from time to time, but this may hold the candle.
