I just found out the my favorite coach of all time pasted away. His name is Fred Mariani, I met him in the fall of 1984. He came to Morehead State to coach us after we had won just 3 games in the previous 2 seasons We had one of the worst offensive lines in the country. Fred turned us into one of the top 20 offense in 1AA college football. We were ranked 2 in the country after our 6 wins and 0 losses start to the season. Coach was like a father to me. Me and my wife babysat Brook Mariani his you daughter. We kept in touch with each other all the time. He was truly an outstanding man and a wonderful coach, he will be forever be in my thoughts. God bless you Fred Mariani.
