Designed especially for first-time campers and their grown-ups, this mini-camp is a wonderful opportunity to experience the magic of Camp Mitchell together—making memories, exploring the mountain, enjoying camp activities, and growing in community.

My Grown-Up & Me: First Timer Mini-Camp

Know a child (suggested ages 5-10) curious about summer camp but not sure if they are quite ready to spend a whole week away from home? My Grown-Up & Me: First Timer Mini-Camp is the perfect introduction to overnight camp or simply a great opportunity to experience Camp Mitchell in a low-key way!

Kids will get to experience the magic of camp with a shortened version and while having their parent, grandparent, or other special grown-up by their side.

Camp is too quiet today. There is no laughter, no singing, no screen doors slamming, no one playing, no one lining up for lunch at Keller. Such is back-to-school time. We are spending these quieter days gearing up for Summer 2027, as well as a full year of plans for those who love Camp Mitchell to come up and visit. Our Camp Mitchell Board met for their meeting this weekend with Chancellor Mary Kostel and Vice Chancellor John K. Van De Weert, Vice Chancellor, to the Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church. With gratitude we are thankful for their suggestions on how we can continue to grow Camp Mitchell.

Another wonderful day is in the books at Middler Camp!

From forming new friendships and creating art together to sharing laughter, games, and fellowship, our campers are discovering the joy of growing together on the mountain. Every smile, every conversation, and every moment reminds us that Camp Mitchell is a place where faith, friendship, and fun flourish.

We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!
