Some of the best technology in a space is the technology you barely notice.

Speakers that blend into the room. Controls that are easy to use. Equipment placed where it won’t compete with the design. Every detail is planned so the space looks and feels the way it should—while the technology works in the background.

That’s what “technology that just works” looks like to us. 🏠

What’s one piece of technology you’d love to make less visible in your home or business?

It was a special day for our team as Rob attended the ribbon cutting for Fidelity Bank’s new Corporate Center in the historic Scranton Electric Building. He even had the opportunity to meet Governor Josh Shapiro. ✂️

Automated Lifestyles was proud to contribute to the project. Seeing the finished building was a reminder of what can happen when so many trades bring their expertise to the same vision. The care taken to preserve its historic character while giving it a new purpose is impressive.

Congratulations to Fidelity Bank and everyone who helped bring this Scranton landmark back to life!

⏱️ The 60-Second Meeting Room Test

If a guest walked into your meeting room today, could they start a video call and share content in under 60 seconds—without asking for help?

Great collaboration technology should be intuitive for everyone, not only the person who uses the room every day. That means simple controls, clear audio, reliable video, and an easy way to connect and share content.

If every meeting begins with searching for cables, switching inputs, or calling IT, the room may be creating more frustration than collaboration.

Could your meeting room pass the 60-second test? If not, contact Automated Lifestyles to schedule a consultation with our commercial technology team.

💬 Ask the Experts: What Would You Automate?

If you could make one part of your daily routine happen automatically, what would it be?

Maybe your shades would open with the sunrise, your doors would lock at night, or your meeting room would be ready with one touch.

Rachel from our Marketing and Sales team says: “I’d automate my lighting so it adjusts throughout the day. I love bright, energizing light during the daytime and warm, dim light in the evening. I always end my day with red light in the bedroom to help me relax and wind down.”

What would you automate? Tell us in the comments!

🏠Are Motorized Shades Worth It?

If you’ve ever dealt with hard-to-reach windows, afternoon glare, fading furniture, or forgotten to close the shades at night, the answer may be yes.

Motorized shades make it easy to manage natural light, privacy, comfort, and energy use throughout your home. They can move at the touch of a button, follow a schedule, or work alongside your lighting to create the right environment throughout the day.

They also eliminate dangling cords and help maintain a clean, polished look that complements your home’s design.

Wondering if motorized shades are right for your space? Let’s talk about the options.

⭐ Client Review

“Everyone did a wonderful job setting up our A/V and security systems. They have been attentive and willing to ensure everything is working properly and how we like it.”

Technology should be designed around the people using it—not simply installed and left behind. Our team takes the time to make sure every system works properly, feels intuitive, and meets each client’s needs.

Thank you for trusting Automated Lifestyles with your technology and for sharing your experience!
