This Saturday, June 18, is the annual Urbans Greenhouse Garden Party. Once again, they have kindly invited us to participate with our garden art. They are located on Highway 34, just south of Rudolph, WI. They open at 8:00 a.m. with various workshops scheduled throughout the day in the greenhouse. Please stop in and see us if you are traveling that way.

Final Menominee project update:
The sculpture AKA " The Dream", is installed!

A big thank you to Jason Maas and his crew at Crystal Finishings of Schofield, WI for the amazing job they did with the powder coating on the sculpture.
Margy Kettle and I had an awesome crew on Saturday May 30 and Sunday May 31, for the install. Thank you to David McDonald, John M. McDonald, Mike Johnson, Jarrod Barton, Pat Walters and Karen Ann Hoffman. The weather cooperated and things went very well.
I'm sure that Mike Hoffman was watching every second of the install and guiding us as we assembled his dream. Thanks Mike.
I hope people will enjoy this beautiful sculpture half as much as Margy Kettle and I did building it.

Menominee project update:

We got the samples back from Crystal Finishings ( Schofield, WI) and have them outside in the elements to see how they do. So far, we are impressed. They look very good, no rust or any other issues.

More shop visits from Karen Ann Hoffman. Also discussion's with Karen Ann, Margy Kettle and myself to make sure we are on track.

The canoe is fabricated and ready for over 300' of welding. Thanks to a joint effort from Margy and myself, all the wild rice pieces are brazed( not our favorite thing to do). Margy has all the cut lists completed for now and onto drilling pieces and sanding them. The people are all welded and ready for sanding on the welds.

Menominee project update:

After weeks of prep work and much discussion with Margy Kettle, myself and Karen Ann Hoffman, things are starting to take shape. Samples are ready for the powder coating people. Margy is busy fabricating 800 plus pieces, starting with the saw and then on to the belt sander and lathe. Next will be brazing 600 pieces of wild rice for her. Gunwales and cross supports are next. PS. Mike, I know you are watching, please continue to guide us. So far so good.
