The Waiting game is on. The rain continues, the inlet continues, and pumping is on hold because of a permit restriction? Frustrating, we just want to help in any way we can.

NEXT STEPS, will be to focus on a piping system that can be long term for this lake, and hopefully address the problem with water inflows from the watershed!!

Stay tuned, the OHW Group has compiled the data from pumping this summer and working with engineers on there own have created a solution that just might be the winning ticket. If it can get approved and permitted, it would offer an electric free option to a long term solution.

It is still sad to see the water pouring into the already flooded Lake Shamineau under both culverts under 203 and threw the washed out road, that once held the water back.

We all should ask for a temporary relief plan, don’t you all agree, is the water high enough yet? Why shouldn’t we continue to pump out and stop the “inflow”? NOW

The water went down again. I am so proud of the Options For High Water Group. They are still pumping over 1 million gallons per day, and every day that goes by, the water keeps going down, little by little. I notice it because I can now get to my car without boots on. That alone is a big improvement.

Stop by and see the operation... they are actually “Doing” something to lower the lake as we speak/read.

FYI, at this rate of successful infiltration, the lake could be lowered to OHW ( Ordinary High Water , 20.4”) by fall of 2020.... that should ring in your EAR 👂... that’s when the LID might be able to get the pump turned “ON”.... so ask yourself why would they turn it “ON” if the Lake Level was at OHW???

Thanks for thinking about that one hard... “ WE WOULDN’T” is the correct answer.

Stay tuned for more great news, please like and share...
