On this September 11, we pause to remember the lives lost, the heroes who stepped forward, and the countless people impacted by the events of that day.
May we continue to honor their memory with remembrance, compassion, and unity.

Our roadways in the United States are a massively important piece of infrastructure. These highways make up the paths that employees use to get to work and that family members use to make their way home for holidays. When these roads become plagued with potholes and uneven transition slabs, it not only makes a bumpy ride, but creates risks too. Cars can get damaged, trailer hitches can come off trucks, and the structural damage can worsen if left unchecked.
This is where contractors like NORTEX come in.
For this Throwback Thursday, we're looking back at a major highway rehabilitation project in the Houston area. Portions of I-10, the 610 Loop, I-59, and I-69 were experiencing potholes, settled roadway and bridge approach slabs, and dips caused by conditions including soil subsidence, vibration, washout, and poor base soils.
NORTEX identified key problem areas and developed injection plans based on the needs at each location. NCFI-4RH geotechnical polyurethane was injected beneath the roadway to fill voids, stabilize underlying soils, and lift and realign settled slabs.
Across more than 150 locations, over half a million pounds of polyurethane were installed. Work was performed during evening hours to help minimize disruption to the highway system, and the fast-curing polyurethane allowed treated areas to return to traffic within minutes of installation.
Projects like this demonstrate how polyurethane injection can help contractors address roadway settlement while keeping heavily traveled infrastructure moving.

As fall and winter approach, commercial facilities are moving more activity indoors, making now a great time for contractors to market concrete lifting and void-filling services.
At the American Royal facility, Foundation Pros used NCFI-4RH to fill voids beneath the concrete and lift sunken floors back into place. The project is a great example of the types of commercial concrete problems contractors can help address with polyurethane injection.
Warehouses, manufacturing facilities, event spaces, and other commercial properties can all experience settlement that creates uneven floors, trip hazards, and problems for equipment and daily operations.
Contractors, keep commercial concrete repair on your radar as the seasons change. Indoor projects can help keep polyurethane crews working even when colder weather limits some outdoor applications.

This fall, NCFI's training course will have some new expertise in the mix!
Join our team of experts, including newcomers Rex Klentzman, P.E. and Brayden Medford, for a course built to give contractors practical knowledge they can take back to the field.
Our Director of Geotechnical Engineering, Rex Klentzman, P.E., will bring his engineering expertise to the classroom with a presentation on Deep Soil Injection design.
During Demo Day, Technical Services team member Brayden Medford will bring his hands-on experience to the training, helping contractors put classroom concepts into practice through live polyurethane injection demonstrations.
From engineering and design to hands-on application, attendees will have even more expertise to learn from this fall.
Don't miss your chance to train with the NCFI team! Call your Territory Manager to sign up for the Fundamentals of Polyurethane Injection training course.
