I would like to give everybody a heads up before this winter weather comes in here. If we have a lot of freezing rain and ice like they are predicting, and you have a heat pump system, the outdoor unit will get covered in ice and it’s not going to function properly . Heat pumps have an automatic defrost function, but will not work under these extreme conditions. Your system will need to be turned to “emergency heat “ on your thermostat. if you see ice all over your outdoor unit.  there’s not gonna be a lot we can do until the storm passes over and temperatures rise a little bit then your system should start operating properly. If your emergency heat does not work then give us a call. If we can make it to your house. We will do our best to get out there and get it working for you . Thank You

If you heat your house with gas, this does not apply your system. It Should work as long as you have power.
